STW kicks up strategic review hiring former Jack Watts Currie partner Rob Currie as group business director
STW Communications has brought in one of the founders of ad agency Jack Watts Currie, Rob Currie, in the new role of group business director, as the struggling agency holding group continues to overhaul its business.
Shares in STW (ASX: SGN) have fallen as low as 54c in the past few days, having been hovering around the $1.20 mark just a year ago. STW has previously stated it is overhauling its business in a bid to turn around the performance of its agencies.
STW agencies include Ogilvy, Ikon Communications, The Brand Agency and The White Agency, although it has pledged to cut the number of businesses it controls from 80 to 50 as part of the ongoing strategic review.

Hiring someone with a branding and advertising background when the growth area is data, digital and shopper? STW still
seems reluctant to bring in outsiders. [Edited by Mumbrella]
