Sub-million night for Thursday TV viewers
Commercial audiences went cool on network television on Thursday night, with not a single show apart from Seven and Nine’s news bulletins bringing in more than 1m metro viewers.
Seven’s Dynamo: Magician Impossible was the best performing entertainment show, rating 915,000 and fourth for the night in all people, according to preliminary overnight metro ratings from OzTAM.
Nine’s The Footy Show was eighth with 864,000 viewers, while ABC1’s Upper Middle Bogan remained solid, ninth for the night with 861,000 viewers.
Also on Nine, Big Brother rated 840,000 while Ten’s Masterchef masterclass rated 610,000, 15th for the night.
I wonder if anyone could generate some ongoing stats to show the numbers of people watching alternative streams, other than terrestrial TV? I.e. Fox, downloads, streaming – or as many people I know, Hulu & Netflix via VPNs.
