As chief growth and brand officer, Massasso will continue to lead the marketing and development of the A2 brand. Her focus will be innovation in new product and market development, quality and regulatory affairs.

A new head of group marketing will be recruited and will report into Massasso. Chief operations officer, Shareef Khan has been temporarily leading the technical team until Massasso stepped into her new role, and will continue to oversee the quality activities in conjunction with her.

At the time of her resignation in November Massasso said: “It has been a great privilege to be part of such an extraordinary company. It has been an incredible six years and I’m looking forward to supporting [CEO Jayne Hrdlicka] and the leadership team going forward.”

CEO Jayne Hrdlicka said at the time: “Susan has been instrumental in setting the global marketing strategy for the company and I am delighted that Susan will remain with the business until the end of the financial year to assist with implementation and to ensure the brand strategy focus is maintained, while supporting the transition of a new CMO.

“Susan will also begin work on strategic growth projects during this period. Subsequent to year end Susan will be available in an ongoing consulting capacity to support the senior leadership team, reporting to me.”

Massasso joined A2 Milk as its first CMO in 2013. Previously,  she has held various roles at Campbell Arnotts, serving the company over 12 and a half years.
