Another sterling marketing takedown on The Checkout last night.
The latest victim? Swisse again. Now with added Nicole Kidman.
The point about the piss weak Therapeutic Goods Administration being piss weak at enforcing a piss weak system was well made. Even if the site of Craig Reucassel dressed as Kidman was deeply, deeply disturbing.

Swisse – the oral equivalent of the Power Balance Band.
Am looking forward to the brand’s self combustion – but not before the marketing team recruits as many ambassadors who will say yes, not to mention enjoys another couple of rounds of kicking around at the races, the Commonwealth Games, Olympics, Footy, Tennis and whatever else costs squillions. Let’s not even mentioned the Swisse/Ellen tour. How big does the mark-up have to be – seriously??
That money comes from somewhere, and given the company is clearly not spending it on genuine research and development, consumers have to (surely) at some point, smell the roses.
The Checkout is brilliant and thank you for putting a continually spotlight on Swisse. The company and the highly questionable way they go about doing business means they bloody-well deserves it.
