SXSW Sydney opens voting for potential speakers for 2024 event

Badges to attend SXSW Sydney 2024 are now on sale following last year’s successful launch into the Australian market.

The public can also vote on potential conference speakers with the Session Select public voting, which also provides a sneak peek into potential speakers at this year’s event, including heavy hitters from the likes of Google, Meta, Canva, Xero, Linktree, Qantas, Virgin Australia, Atlassian, Reddit, Tourism Australia, Deloitte, Harvard, UC Berkeley, Garvan Institute of Medical Research, the Australian Human Rights Commission, and hundreds more.

Last year’s SXSW Sydney featured 1,178 sessions and events and drew over 287,000 people from 41 countries.

Platinum Badge holders will enjoy primary access to all SXSW Sydney events, across conference, games, music and screen festivals, plus an invitation to the exclusive SXSW Sydney Opening Night Party, a dedicated SXSW Sydney co-working space, exclusive access all week to the new Platinum Lounge, exclusive Xpress passes to help secure seats for in demand conference sessions, and primary access to an extended program of curated daily meet ups and networking events.

Early Bird pricing for SXSW Sydney 2024 Platinum Badges is available until May 16, at $1395 each. Early Bird pricing for other tickets is available until May 16 at $895, with under 25s able to get a 40% discount, paying $537.

Speakers will be announced from this month.

“Our creative community has exceeded even my most optimistic expectations – the quality of the submissions we have received is outstanding,” SXSW Sydney’s MD Colin Daniels said.

“Thanks to all the dreamers, doers and innovators out there. The inquiring minds and provocative thinkers SXSW Sydney attract are what makes this event so exhilarating and satisfying. Our programming team has its work cut out.”
