Teaser and premiere date announced for The L Word: Generation Q Season 2

Nine-owned Stan has released a first look teaser for the brand new season of The L Word: Generation Q.

Based on the drama series The L Word, season two of The L Word: Generation Q will continue to follow the intermingled lives of Bette, Shane McCutcheon, Alice Pieszecki, Dani Nùñez (Arienne Mandi), Micah Lee (Leo Sheng), Sarah Finley (Jacqueline Toboni), Sophie Suarez (Rosanny Zayas), Gigi Ghorbani (Sepideh Moafi), and Angelica Porter-Kennard (Jordan Hull) as they experience love, heartbreak, setbacks and success in L.A.

Guest stars for the upcoming season include Rosie O’Donnell, who plays Carrie, a public defender who works closely with Bette.

Other guest stars include Donald Faison, Griffin Dunne, and Vanessa Williams.

Dunne (After Hours, I Love Dick) will play an art dealer who moves in Bette’s circles while Faison (Scrubs) plays an editor who works closely with talk show host Alice (Hailey)

Season two is executive produced by showrunner Marja-Lewis Ryan (The Four-Faced Liar, 6 Balloons), along with series creator Ilene Chaiken, Kristen Campo, Allyce Ozarski, Maisha Closson, and original series stars Jennifer Beals, Katherine Moennig and Leisha Hailey.

The brand new season of The L Word: Generation Q premieres 7 August, on Stan, same day as the US.
