Ten wins Tuesday night thanks to Masterchef and Shark Tank
It was another successful Tuesday night for Ten, as Masterchef Australia and Shark Tank dominated the key advertising demographics (16-39, 18-49 and 25-54).
Ten’s audience share for Tuesday was 17.9%, ahead of Nine’s 17.7%, Seven’s share of 16.8%, ABC’s 9.5% share and SBS’ 6.6% share.
Masterchef was the most-watched entertainment program of the night, with 894,000 metro viewers and was also the most-watched show across the key ad demographics.
Nationally, Masterchef captured 1.251m viewers.
Ten’s Shark Tank, which premiered last week, pulled 737,000 metro viewers and was the second-most-watched show across the demographics. Its national audience was 963,000.
Seven’s 7:30pm offering, First Dates Australia, had a metro audience of 591,000 and a national audience of 935,000.
On Nine in the 7:30pm time slot, 20 to One was slightly behind, achieving 510,000 metro viewers.
Nine’s Love Child, which aired at 8:30pm had a metro audience of 543,000. The show pulled a total of 830,000 national viewers.
In news, Seven won the night with 1.120m metro viewers at 6pm and 1.066m at 6:30pm.
Nationally, Sevens News’ audience was 1.827m while the 6:30pm offering reached 1.616m viewers.
Nine News had 1.038m and 1.006m metro viewers respectively, and national audiences of 1.049m and 1.021m.
