Ten’s audience share slips below 9%
Seven won the ratings battle on Friday night with a 22.8% average audience share – ahead of Nine’s 18.0% and ABC’s 10.0%. Ten’s audience share slipped to its lowest of the week, coming in at just 8.9%, while SBS pulled 6.2%.
No programs managed to crack the 1m viewers mark across the five metro markets, according to OzTAM’s overnight preliminary metro ratings, with the most-watched program for the night, Seven News, having an audience of 877,000.
The most-watched entertainment program was also on Seven with 623,000 metro viewers tuning in to Better Homes & Gardens.
Seven’s game show The Chase Australia had an audience of 546,000, ahead of Nine’s Hot Seat which had 433,000.
Over on Ten, Eyewitness News was the most-watched program with 429,000, ahead of the second half-hour of The Project which had 401,000 and The Living Room at 390,000.
ABC’s most-watched progam was also its news offering (575,000), while its most-popular entertainment program was Thirteen (468,000).
The breakfast battle was tight, but Seven’s Sunrise (267,000) narrowly beat Nine’s Today (264,000).
