Ten’s Hughesy, We Have A Problem to return on 20 January

The third season of Hughesy, We Have A Problem will premiere at 9pm on Monday, 20 January.

The panel show, fronted by comedian Dave ‘Hughesy’ Hughes, debuted in 2018 to 632,000 metro viewers, and closed out its first season with 456,000. Its run last year premiered to 498,000. It concluded in May to 311,000 metro viewers.

The show initially screened on Tuesday nights on Ten, before switching to a Sunday night run midway through last year.

In 2020, the show will air on Monday nights.

Ten spruiked the light-hearted nature of the program in its premiere announcement.

“Each week, members of the audience, the panel, special celebrity guests and even Hughesy himself share the qualms and questions that plague us all,” the release said.

“Helping Hughesy find the answers is a top-notch couch-filled with Australia’s funniest comedians including Amanda Keller, Tommy Little, Tanya Hennessy, Denise Scott, Nazeem Hussain and Ross Noble.

“So while the fall out of those ‘New Year, New Me’ expectations may have left you with 99 problems, something to watch on a Monday night sure isn’t one of them.”

Hughes also co-hosts the syndicated drive show on Southern Cross Austereo’s (SCA) Hit Network. His long-time on-air partner was Kate Langbroek, but in 2020 she has been replaced by Ed Kavalee.
