Ten’s The Masked Singer climbs back above 1m metro viewers

The reveal of the celebrity under the Lion mask in last night’s The Masked Singer had 1.115m metro viewers on Ten. With the addition of regional figures, this jumped to 1.567m.

Last week’s episodes had 880,000 and 877,000 metro viewers for the reveals.

The main episode last night had 905,000 – also a jump from last week. Its total, with the regions, was 1.232m.

The reveal was the most-watched show overall, however The Block over on Nine won the 7:30pm time slot with 970,000 metro viewers (1.302m total).

Seven’s prime-time offering of Bride and Prejudice was well behind on 434,000 metro viewers (661,000 total). This placed Seven behind ABC’s 7.30, which had 609,000 metro viewers (891,000 total).

In the later time slot, Ten’s Have You Been Paying Attention? was triumphant, with a metro audience of 946,000, and a total across the country of 1.280m.

Love Island on Nine had an overnight metro audience of 342,000, and a total of 433,000.

American crime drama The Rookie on Seven had 299,000 metro viewers (492,000 total).

The Masked Singer’s reveal segment and Have You Been Paying Attention topped the key advertising demographics of those aged 16 to 39, 18 to 49, and 25 to 54, and helped Ten to a winning primary audience share of 31.6%in the 16 to 39s. This was well ahead of Nine’s 22.0% and Seven’s 12.8%.

Network Ten, including its multi-channels, also won the 16 to 39s, with a 37.2% share, ahead of Nine Network (27.2%), and Seven Network (19.6%).

It was a similar story in 25 to 54s, where Ten had 26.5%, ahead of Nine’s 22.0%, and Seven’s 14.6%. In the networks, it was Ten on 26.5% which took the win, ahead of Nine Network’s 28.8%, and Seven Network’s 21.6%.

In total people, however, Nine nudged ahead, with a primary channel share of 19.9%, to Ten’s 18.9%. Seven had 16.5%, the ABC 13.2%, and SBS 4.6%.

Ten’s Bold was the most-watched multi-channel with 3.2%, however Seven Network did managed to sneak ahead of Network Ten (24.2% to Ten’s 24.0%).

Nine Network won with a 27.4% share in total people.

In the breakfast battle, Seven’s Sunrise had 269,000 metro viewers, and 447,000 across the country. Today on Nine had 187,000 in the cities and 293,000 in total.
