Terminator: Genisys bumps Jurassic World as school holidays boost kid films

Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Terminator: Genisys has bumped Jurassic World from the top spot after pulling in $4.725m across 786 screens in its opening weekend.

The fifth Terminator film has made a total of $5.777m at the local box office since its premiere last Wednesday while Jurassic World dropped to fourth place as the school holidays helped kids films Minions and Inside Out boost their takings.

Jurassic World pulled in $3.599m across 473 screens to take its total Australian box office to $44.38m.
