The Amazing Race Australia struggles to pull viewers while The Block remains #1

Nine’s The Block topped entertainment on Monday, while the network also celebrated an overall network share win.

The program aired to 773,000 metro viewers, also winning all three key advertising demos. The 2022 launch aired to an average metro audience of 867,000. Last year, Nine aired the 2021 premiere of the program to 747,000 metro viewers.

Next in entertainment was The Chase Australia on Seven, which aired to an average metro audience of 523,000, followed by Have You Been Paying Attention? On Ten, which aired to an average of 506,000. A Farmer Wants a Wife on Seven aired to 486,000 metro viewers, while an episode of Home and Away aired to a metro audience of 458,000.

Meanwhile, on Ten, The Amazing Race Australia, which premiered to 451,000 metro viewers, brought in 332,000 viewers in all five major capital cities.

Meanwhile, Seven News was the #1 metro program on Monday with 956,000 metro viewers followed by Seven News at 6:30 with 926,000 metro viewers. Nine News aired to 837,000, and Nine News at 6:30 brought in 837,000. Next was A Current Affair which pulled in 686,000 viewers, while ABC News brought in 585,000.

As mentioned, Nine won the night, taking an overall network share of 29.9% over Seven’s 26.4%, while Ten and ABC both had a share of 17.8%.

Nine also won the primary channel share, and the top-rating multi-channel on Monday was 7TWO with a share of 3.5%.

In the latest Daily Consolidated Total TV Report for 19 September, 7News: The Grateful Goodbye on Seven was the #1 program nationally across linear, with 1.475 million viewers, including 68,000 on BVOD, and an uplift of 32%. The biggest uplift of the week was an episode of The Amazing Race on Ten with an uplift of 79%, a total audience of 684,000, and a total BVOD audience of 35,000.
