The Athlete’s Foot shows it ‘gives a fit’ about school shoes in new campaign

The Athlete’s Foot is telling Australian parents it, unlike other shoe stores, ‘give a fit’ about school shoes, as part of a new campaign.

A new advertisement by Two Tractors shows ‘Dean’, an inattentive sales person ‘not giving a fit’ about the school shoes he is selling. The ad then reveals one of The Athlete’s Foot’s stores, and a child being served by a Fit Technician.

A voiceover says The Athlete’s Foot ‘gives a fit’, and seeks to position the brand as the experts in market for school shoes ahead of the return-to-school period.

Deena Colman, head of marketing at The Athlete’s Foot, said it was a great time to launch a “fun and creative” campaign, and break through the back-to-school noise.

“At the Athlete’s Foot, we live and breathe the right fit,” Colman said.

“The difference between us and other shoe retailers is the extensive training program our highly skilled Fit Technicians go through, as well as our exclusive MyFit technology that has over 4,000 sensors to map out your foot from heel to toe alongside motion analysis. This combined with our expert fitting knowledge allows us to ensure every customer receives the perfect fit every time.”

The campaign will run across TV, radio, cinema, online and in-store.
