The Block tops entertainment for 3rd night this week
Nine’s The Block was again the #1 entertainment program on Wednesday night, as the network also celebrated another overall network share win.
The Block brought in a metro audience of 855,000, while also winning all three key advertising demos.

ABC’s episode of Hard Quiz was next in entertainment, pulling in a metro audience of 630,000, followed by Seven’s Home And Away which saw 620,000 metro viewers tune in.
SAS Australia on Seven was next which brought in 606,000 metro viewers, while an episode of Seven’s The Chase Australia pulled in 575,000 metro viewers.
The #1 program on Wednesday was Seven News, which had an average of 1.165 million metro viewers, ahead of Seven News at 6.30 with 1.087 million, and Nine News with 1.072 million metro viewers.
As previously mentioned, Nine won the night, taking an overall network share of 29.6% just pipping Seven’s 28.3%, while the ABC had an 18.4% network share and Ten had 15.8%.
Nine also won primary channel share while the top-rating multi-channel for Wednesday was 7TWO with a share of 3.8%.
In the latest Daily Consolidated Total TV Report for 15 September, Seven News was the #1 program nationally across linear and BVOD television, with 1.719 million viewers including 37,000 on national BVOD.
The Block was #1 entertainment program with 1.410 million viewers, including a national BVOD audience of 188,000 views, an uplift of 25%.
The program with the biggest uplift however was an episode of Seven’s The Rookie which had a 53% uplift on overnight figures and had a total of 480,000 viewers overall.
