The Block wins entertainment and key demos as Nine takes Tuesday

Nine’s The Block was the #1 entertainment program on Tuesday, also winning all three key advertising demos and helping Nine to an overall network share win.

Last night’s episode brought in 971,000 metro viewers, while Nine also topped the primary channel stakes.

Home And Away was second among entertainment formats, with 602,000 metro viewers, ahead of The Chase Australia with 595,000, both on Seven.

Nine’s Hot Heat had 505,000 metro viewers, while The Hundred with Andy Lee managed 484,000 metro viewers. Ten had a special edition of The Project Presents 9/11: 20 Years On, which brought in 352,000 metro viewers.

Seven aired Holey Moley USA, aka Holey Moley Unhinged, in primetime, but the program didn’t rank inside the top 20 in metro audience. It brought in 220,000 metro viewers.

In sport, Ten’s football broadcast of Australia’s World Cup qualifier against Vietnam, which aired at 10pm, had 132,000 metro viewers in the pre-game and 116,000 metro viewers during the match itself.

Seven News was the #1 program overall, with 1.128 million metro viewers, ahead of Nine News with 1.066 million metro viewers. A Current Affair had 828,000 metro viewers and ABC news had 722,000.

As mentioned, Nine won the night with a 33.7% network share, also topping primary channel share. 7TWO was the #1 multi-channel with a 4.2% share.
