The Brand Agency has become The Perth Mint’s creative and media agency of record.

The announcement:

The Perth Mint appoints The Brand Agency

PERTH – TUESDAY 9 OCTOBER: Following a competitive tender process, The Brand Agency has been appointed by The Perth Mint as its sole advertising and media agency. In a remit encompassing all of The Brand Agency’s capabilities from creative and media, through to content and destination marketing, the appointment signals an increased focus by The Perth Mint on its national and global marketing.

James Ross, The Perth Mint, group manager, marketing services said: “This is a really exciting time for the Mint, with new product launches occurring in Australia and overseas, complimenting our global $18billion plus minted products program. We are delighted to have found a Perth-based agency with the skills, commitment and resources to help us deliver on our mandate to take Australian precious metals to the world.”

“The Perth Mint is one of Western Australia’s most iconic and important businesses and an organisation that has no peers in this country. They have a focus on growth which provides a fantastic opportunity for a business like ours to help them achieve this, both nationally and internationally across their diverse product mix. It’s not often that you get to work with a Western Australian business that is a world leader and we are very excited about what we can achieve together,” said Nick Bayes, The Brand Agency general manager.

This win follows hot on the heals of the launch of The Brand Agency’s destination marketing division headed led by Gwyn Dolphin, previously the CEO of Tourism WA. This offering, within the Brand Agency, has been created to provide strategic guidance to organisations operating in the tourism, entertainment and events sectors and has already picked up a number of major projects including the rebrand of the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder.
