The Chase Australia tops entertainment on Thursday, while AFL brings in two key demos for Seven

The Chase Australia on Seven topped entertainment programming last night with 443,000 metro viewers. However, the network’s Thursday night AFL and Nine News at 6:30 split the key advertising demo wins.

The AFL game between the Western Bulldogs and Brisbane Lions attracted 401,000 metro viewers. Since the AFL’s season launch earlier this month, Seven has managed to wrestle a portion of the weekly share back from Nine.

Ten’s Gogglebox brought in 368,000 metro viewers, followed by Home and Away on Seven with 352,000.

Meanwhile, Thursday night NRL on Nine pulled in 339,000 metro viewers for Nine.

The #1 program on Thursday was Seven News with 779,000 metro viewers, followed by Seven News at 6:30 with 760,000, Nine News with 660,000 and Nine News at 6:30 with 638,000.

Seven Network won the night with a 32.6% overall share, followed by Nine with 25.7%, Ten with 16.7% and ABC with 15.9%.

The top-rated primary network was Seven with 22.6%, and the top-rated multichannel was 7Two with 3.9%.

In the latest Daily Consolidated 7 Total TV Report for 23 March, Seven News last Thursday was the #1 program nationally with 1.26 million Total TV viewers, including 34,000 on BVOD and an uplift of 3%.

However, the program with the biggest uplift was Ten’s Gogglebox with 37%, including 641,000 Total TV viewers and 25,000 on BVOD.
