The Fugitive’s return on Today Network boosts online traffic
After eight years in hiding, the return of the 2Day FM Fugutive to Austereo’s Today Network has recorded impressive traffic figures to its website and Facebook and Twitter pages as Sydneysiders search for the runaway for a cash prize.
The Vodafone Infinite Plans-sponsored search for the Fugitive, which can be followed via clues put on air at 104.1 FM as well as on Seven, has seen visits to the Fugitive website amount to 150,000, and 400,000 page views, since March 14.
The number of ‘likes’ for the 2Day FM Facebook page have risen by 150%, and the number of Twitter followers have grown by 30% over the same time period, according to the Today Network.
The Fugitive can also be tracked via Google Maps, as well as be viewing uploads of video grabs and photos of his changing location.
Listeners stand to win up to $100,000 each day; $60,000 has been given away already.
Gee. Up to 14500 facebook fans whilst they are also running FB advertising and 3700 followers. I’m not sure how that is worth a paragraph???
