The Media Store’s GM Stephen Leeds promoted to CEO as Craig Jepsen departs

Independent media agency The Media Store has seen the departure of its CEO of nearly three years, Craig Jepsen.

Jepsen, who joined the agency from Toyota where he was the media manager of national marketing, “decided to take leave” but will aid the agency with the leadership transition.

Filling the CEO role is The Media Store’s general manager Stephen Leeds.

Leeds joined the Media Store from The New Daily where he was the commercial director for just seven months.

In other agency movement, Jacquie Alley, head of people and culture, has been promoted to the role of chief operating officer.

A spokesperson from The Media Store, said in a statement: “Following 12 months as head of the Melbourne office, Stephen Leeds is well positioned to continue the sustained growth of the independent media agency and will shortly provide an update on the agency’s performance and next chapter, including client wins, award winning campaigns and wider team appointments.

“For now, effecting a seamless transition is a priority for The Media Store board and leadership team, with a focus on clients and agency staff.”

The media agency opened its doors in Melbourne in August last year to service its biggest client, Toyota.
