The Studio launches 2021 Founders’ Program

Leading creative and technology incubator, The Studio, launches 2021 Founders’ Program offering fully-funded places.

The Studio’s 2021, 6-week Founders’ Program will offer up to 30 fully funded spots. Applications are now open and close 28 February 2021. The program runs: 15th March – 30th April 2021.

The Studio Founders’ Program helps startups develop and hone commercial skills, education, and knowledge to validate and accelerate their businesses to be globally competitive.

“Early-stage through to established startups are invited to apply”, said Chantal Abouchar, CEO of The Studio, “Often startups have knowledge gaps and this program also benefits existing founders.”

The 6-week program is a hybrid of virtual and in-person activities. The online component is delivered in partnership with Startup Onramp (https://www.startuponramp.com). The in-person program includes a 6-week residency at The Studio, weekly educational activities, including masterclasses with industry specialists and subject–matter experts, investors, mentors, advisors and entrepreneurs. The Studio’s expert-in-residence (EiR), David McKeague will be joined by a team of EiR’s to support participants with one-on-one sessions throughout the program.

“We wanted to make this program as accessible as possible, so the minimum in-person commitment is one day per week”, said Chantal.

While The Studio specialises in startups across communications, media-tech and creative industries, The Studio is industry agnostic and supports startups across all industries and invites them to apply.

This inaugural program ran in 2020 with the cohort consisting of:

· 28 startups

· 46% female founders

· 15 different countries of origin

· 1 indigenous founder

· 5 decades spanned in age of cohort

Participants from last year said:

· “A place to share and learn what it takes to build a successful startup”

· “The connections I made have been invaluable”

· “A perfect time for our business as we were starting to grow rapidly”
