The Trish Nicol Agency brings in British menswear brands

The Trish Nicol Agency has added British menswear brands Hardy Amies and T.M.Lewin to its fashion brands in the Australian marketplace.

The announcement:

Iconic British menswear brands, Hardy Amies and T.M.Lewin join TNA’s fashion division this month and represent a growth in the number of menswear brands entering the Australian marketplace this year.

In 1945 Hardy Amies established the most internationally successful English Couture house. Situated on Savile Row, it became known for its beautiful clothing and accessories. In 1989 Hardy Amies was knighted for his services to the Queen. Sir Hardy’s clients included politicians, business leaders, sports personalities and movie stars.

He created costumes for many films, including Two for the Road (1967) with Albert Finney and Audrey Hepburn and 2001: A Space Odyssey (1968); wrote 4 books including The ABC of Men’s Fashion, which is still in print, and he was one of the first European couture designers to embrace ready-to-wear and licensing.

The first T.M.Lewin opened in Jermyn Street in 1898. This bustling London Street soon became a magnet for the world’s finest tailors and Mr. Thomas Mayes Lewin was among the industry’s original innovators. A hundred years ago, shirts didn’t have buttons down the front. T.M.Lewin’s ‘coat-shirts’ were not only pioneering, they are a prototype of the modern shirt worn today. T.M.Lewin now has just under100 stores in the UK, with new stores opening in countries across the rest of the world, including Europe,
Singapore and Australia.

TNA will work on developing the brand awareness of both companies with PR, event management and digital PR concepts in the Australian marketplace on an ongoing basis.
