Thousands of happy snaps for new P&O ad

Thousands of individual holiday snaps make up BMF’s new 45 second ad for P&O Cruises.

The images were shot using a specially-developed camera rig holding up to four Canon 5D cameras at a time, with an average of 16,000 still photographs taken on eacgh day of the eight day shoot.

The whole thing was shot during a cruise from Australia to Vanuatu and New Caledonia, using real passengers as extras.

The  spot, launches in cinema tomorrow, with a 30 second version to follow on TV in January.

Richard Morgan, associate creative director at BMF, said: “With the ever increasing popularity of digital photography and social websites such as Facebook and Flickr, todayʼs travellers take hundreds of holiday snaps and share them with their friends. The campaign taps into this insight.”
