Three additional speakers confirmed for Mumbrella CommsCon, entries closing for CommsCon Awards

Two additional sessions have been revealed for the 2022 Mumbrella CommsCon program, with three new speakers added to the lineup. Senior leaders from Ogilvy PR and AZK Media will take part at the event on 19 May at the Four Seasons Hotel, Sydney.

Presenting exclusive research to CommsCon, Ogilvy PR head of strategy and creative Miriam Wells and chief counsel Nino Tesoriero will discuss the factors critical for communications success amid an era where believability can be undermined by falsehoods and misinformation.

Drawing on the latest findings from the agency’s Believability Index, the pair will reveal the political and business leaders, media and sources that are regarded above their peers as they demonstrate what makes people and organisations effective via believability, and how this can be harnessed to produce more successful campaigns.

Meanwhile, AZK Media founder and managing partner Azadeh Williams will explore the need for local PR to better navigate the growing business opportunities in the Asia-Pacific region.

Against a growing number of B2B and B2C companies looking to increase their reach across APAC, Azadeh looks at the common misconceptions global businesses have about local PR, managing expectations with territory-tailored strategies, and delivering results that strengthens client and PR alike.

Miriam, Nino and Azadeh are joined by the previously announced lineup of CommsCon speakers, including Sling and Stone’s Vuki Vujasinovic, PwC’s Sonia Clarke, Public Address’ Shane Allison and Edelman’s Lynnette Edmonds.

The final speakers and sessions will be announced soon.

Entries will soon be closing for the 2022 Mumbrella CommsCon Awards, with 23 categories open for submission. Held immediately following the summit and hosted by comedian, writer and presenter Tim Ross, the Awards celebrate the biggest achievements in the PR and communications industry at a gala event.
