Thrive announces Nicole Hamilton in newly created Melbourne GM role

PR and Communications firm Thrive has appointed Nicole Hamilton as Melbourne general manager, a newly created role.

Hamilton joins the independent agency due to Thrive’s “exponential growth” which has spurred the need for newly created GM roles.

Thrive’s people & culture director, Snezna Kerekovic, said: “We are delighted to welcome Nicole to the Thrive family. Nicole’s appointment represents our growth as an agency across PR, content, and digital, and the need to have a dedicated GM for our Melbourne office, as Kelly Stambanis’ role as GM Australasia continues to elevate and her executive role strengthens.”

Arriving from her role as general manager of Haystac Melbourne, Hamilton has more than 17 years experience in international and local agencies, with expertise across multiple industry sectors.

“I am thrilled to be joining Thrive – an agency I have watched with interest for more than a decade and have been incredibly impressed with their work, continued growth, and attraction of top talent. As a believer that great agencies are only as good as their people, I am excited to work with an incredibly strong team in Melbourne, and the wider Thrive network across Australia and New Zealand, to continue to build a culture that takes our team and clients from strength to strength,” said Hamilton

This follows a trend of new hires for Thrive this year, the agency announcing four key new hires February, in addition to Clare Basire’s appointment as general manager of Thrive Sydney.

Kerekovic continued: “Melbourne is Thrive’s heartland. We know that market inside out given our long history. We are bolstering our incredible talent in that State with our recent hires because we know the combination of top talent with local market passion and insight will only lead to more impactful results for our clients.”
