Thrive wins PR account for SailGP launch
Thrive PR + Communications has bolstered its sports and entertainment portfolio by adding the new global racing league, SailGP.
The agency will be responsible for managing the local media relations for the racing league across Australia.
Thrive PR’s win comes nine months after the agency hired Michelle Fowler as its group account director and sports and entertainment lead.
Christy Cahill, director of communications at SailGP, said in a statement: “Thrive’s creative and strategic approach, combined with their strong credentials in sports PR and highly capable team made them the standout agency to appoint locally.”
Fowler added: “Whether driving ticket sales, raising awareness or getting people actively participating, PR and communications in the sports sector is highly specialised. The sporting market in Australia is extremely competitive, so to achieve the results we have so far for SailGP in terms of consumer interest and media exposure is really pleasing.”
The win comes just weeks after the agency won the Allianz Partners’s PR account.
