Matthew Stanton, Magazine Publishers of Australia chairman and Bauer Media CEO, joined Mumbrella for a live video hangout on Friday afternoon.
Stanton was quizzed by Mumbrella editor Tim Burrowes about his views on the magazine industry, the MPA’s latest initiatives to promote the medium to advertisers and cost cutting at Bauer.
Tim Burrowes founded Mumbrella in 2008. He worked on Mumbrella until 2021. At various points he was editor, content director and editor-at-large.

He didn’t seem to be aware if the ‘hunger games’ comment was true. Surely as CEO he is responsible for clarifying if a senior manager did in fact say that and if true take remedial action – is there no HR function at bauer?
