Todd Sampson’s Body Hack 2.0 premieres with 537,000 metro viewers

Todd Sampson’s second season of Body Hack launched with 537,000 metro viewers last night, slightly down on the first season’s premiere.

The new program, which ran on Ten at 8:45pm, attracted its largest audience from Melbourne, with 192,000 viewers tuning in. But it didn’t quite crack the first season premiere’s numbers which attracted 588,000 metro viewers.

In the key advertising demographics, which are made up of the 16-39s, 18-49s and 25-54s, Todd Sampson’s Body Hack 2.0 finished second behind Masterchef Australia.

Ten’s Masterchef Australia was the most watched non-news show of the evening, with 845,000 metro viewers.

On Nine, the matched between the Manly Sea Eagles and the North Queensland Cowboys averaged 373,000 metro viewers across Sydney and Brisbane. Sydney had the biggest audience – with 204,000 viewers over 169,000.

Seven’s Home and Away, which ran from 7pm till 8:30pm, had a metro audience of 559,000 while ABC’s Grand Designs, which ran in the 8pm time slot, managed 532,000.

On the multi-channels, the most popular show was Kazoops! with 211,000 viewers. Love Island Australia – which is a joint commission by 9GO and 9Now – had a metro audience of 154,000 for the evening.

9Now’s video player measurement (VPM) numbers show Love Island Australia’s first four episodes increasing. Episode one has 115,000 viewers, episode two has 102,000, while episodes three and four have audiences of 89,000 and 72,000. The show remains behind Handmaid’s Tale, which has a VPM rating of 120,00.

Last night Seven won the 6pm news bulletin with 1.028m metro viewers, defeating Nine News’ 928,000.

Nine won the evening overall, with 19.4% of Thursday night’s audience tuning in. It beat Seven’s 17.4% share and Ten’s 16.9% share. ABC’s share was 10.7% and SBS’ was 5%. In total network share, Seven nabbed the win with a 28.7% share over Nine’s 26.6%.
