Tom Cruise’s American Made tops weekend box office

Tom Cruise’s latest film, American Made, kicked Annabelle:Creation off the top spot at the weekend box office, collecting $2.139m in its first weekend.

The Universal Pictures film, which premiered on August 24, is based on the true story of a pilot, who is unexpectedly recruited by the CIA, to run one of the biggest operations in US history.
