TorchMedia retains Sydney Trains advertising contract, expands offering

TorchMedia has extended its advertising remit for Sydney Trains.

Under the new agreement, TorchMedia has secured the rights for both external and ‘on-train’ advertising solutions across the Sydney Trains network.

TorchMedia has extended its contract with Sydney Trains

TorchMedia first locked in an agreement with Sydney Trains in 2013, following its advertising efforts in Melbourne and Brisbane.

Its appointment follows the extension of APN Outdoor’s agreement, as well as Adshel’s agreement. APN Outdoor is currently being folded into JC Decaux, while Adshel is being absorbed into Ooh Media.

Kirsty Dollisson, managing director of TorchMedia, said she was thrilled to add on-train to the portfolio.

“The ability to influence up to 1.3 million passenger journeys daily both on platform and while on-board provides brands with an opportunity to deliver truly immersive communications. Trains are an essential part of Sydney’s public transport network servicing almost half of all public transport commuters. The sheer volume of audience we can provide is unparalleled,” Dollisson said.

TorchMedia also holds the rights for Harbour City Ferries, Queensland Rail and Metro Trains Melbourne.
