Tourism Tasmania holds short film competition
Tourism Tasmania and the Breath of Fresh Air Film Festival have launched a film competition to market the state.
The Essence of Tasmania short film competition calls for filmmakers to produce a three-minute film that encapsulates Tasmania to them.
The call for entries is open to people living in or out of the state that is not a commercial or travelogue.
It’s the first time Tourism Tasmania has taken on a promotion, inviting the public to share their stories.
The best films will be shared by Tourism Tasmania across social media with the top four filmmakers selected receiving $5000.
Wow a short film comp, well there’s an original idea.
I look forward to seeing the entry about a bloke with two heads, but I’m not sure Tourism Tasmania will be so excited.

Dan I hope you are tongue in cheek! Tasmania is an amazing tourist destination. maybe the idea is not new but Tasmania offers far more than the two headed locals.

Dan – the whole two heads joke isn’t exactly original either. I think the spotlight on Tasmania as a beautiful travel destination is well deserved.
