Toyota’s Gabriel will keynote the Mumbrella Automotive Marketing Summit

Wayne Gabriel took on the role in early 2017 during a time of intense change in the Australian automotive industry. He will take the stage at the summit to move the conversation on about the future of mobility and cover ‘mobility for all’ – cars and humans that work together as partners, cars that ‘understand’ people, and automated driving technology for maximum safety.

The Mumbrella Automotive Marketing Summit takes place at the Sofitel Wentworth Hotel in Sydney on August 23, with earlybird tickets on sale now.

Renault’s Pinwill will discuss personalised communications with consumers and the new opportunities with Facebook’s Joe Perkins

Also confirmed to take part is French manufacturer Renault and social media giant, Facebook. Joe Perkins, Facebook automotive client partner, and Emma Pinwill, marketing director at Renault Australia, will discuss the behaviour of today’s new consumer and the opportunity for brands to differentiate themselves with personalised communication at scale.

In an automotive industry that is going through significant changes in consumer behaviours, marketers across the board are facing challenging times to ensure their brand remains relevant and grows, rather than just keeping its consumer base. Perkins and Pinwill will explain how Renault has done this and what the success has been.

Jasmin Bedir, managing director of Spark44 Sydney, a joint venture agency with Jaguar Land Rover, will join the panel discussing disruption in the industry, bringing background on how a major car manufacturer disrupted the client/agency model.
