Tracie Michael quits as Initiative CEO

Tracie Michael, the chief executive of Initiative Australia, has quit the agency after just over a year in the job.

Her role will be filled in the interim by Henry Tajer, executive chairman of Mediabrands Australia.

“After extensive considerations about the demands of a national CEO role and its impact on my private life, I have decided to step back from the front line of business for now to spend more time on personal and family matters,” she said.

Michael was appointed CEO role in May last year, leaving Mindshare where she was MD, to replace Roger Camplisson.

Tajer said: “It has been Tracie’s decision to step down and spend more time with her active family, which I fully respect and support.”

Michael will continue to work at the agency until December 31.
