Travelodge hires Joel Creasey for ‘Lie Down Comedy’ series to promote brand refresh

Comedians Joel Creasey and Rhys Nicholson star in new web series giving  ‘Refreshingly Simple Guides to’ hotel living in a new campaign for Travelodge.

Creasey is the first star of the series entitled ‘Lie Down Comedy’, with the I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here star giving his take on different ways to make the most of life on the road, especially as a famous comedian.

The content series has been created by Frank PR.

The idea behind the campaign is to bring to life the new Travelodge Hotels brand, which has undergone the biggest refresh in its 40-year history.

 

So far only Creasey’s series has gone live with the comedian saying in the release: “We’re going to take a little journey into the world of travel the funnier moments of hotel stays so hopefully, we’ll have a few laughs along the way. Stay tuned.”

Nicholson, who won the 2012 Time Out Award for Best Newcomer at the Sydney Comedy Festival, will be filming a travel guide with a twist for visitors to his home town Newcastle, giving insider hints and tips for making the most of a few days in this often-overlooked part of New South Wales.

“There’s definitely a different side to the city that you can discover if you know where to look, which luckily I do, so I’m looking forward to showing off my roots with my very own travel guide,” he said in the release.
