Trilogy Funds reappoints MediaCom as its media agency

GroupM agency MediaCom has retained Trilogy Funds, an Australian property-based investment fund manager, following a competitive pitch for investor and adviser-focused paid media activity.

With a primary objective of driving leads through to Trilogy Funds’ website, MediaCom has been on performance focused digital journey with the fund manager since late 2018. Since this time, MediaCom has undertaken a series of test and learn strategies using a variety of paid media channels to improve performance driving better, more efficient results.

Established over 23 years ago, Trilogy Funds specialises in income-focused property-based funds and non-bank lending for the construction and development sector.

Despite COVID-19 having an impact on the financial sector during 2020, Trilogy Funds has continued to see improvements in its CPA targets since beginning their journey with Mediacom five years ago.

MediaCom’s remit will see the agency continue to lead its media planning and buying strategy for investor and financial adviser audiences but will now expand to include an end-to-end process creative platform which will be activated across media and then measured/optimised against business objectives.

Earlier this year, MediaCom AUNZ CEO Willie Pang stepped down from the agency to take a broader role across GroupM as managing director of GroupM Services.

Pang’s appointment follows the March departure of GroupM’s local CEO Mark Lollback. The search for the CEO is still underway, with Pang’s new role created to build on the digital leadership of the group.

In his place, Yaron Farizon, former CEO of MediaCom Russia and Mediacom Connections Israel, has become CEO of MediaCom AUNZ, taking up the post since 1 June.

Mediacom managing director, Kellie Dawson, said of the win: “Moving forward on our journey together, we are focused on continuing to improve Trilogy Funds’ performance metrics while simultaneously driving growth by further increasing awareness among potential investors and financial advisers of the Trilogy Funds brand.

“I’m beyond proud of our team as our strategy demonstrating comprehensive understanding of the category, strong relationships, smarts, and the work of the MediaCom Creative Systems team lead to our reappointment”.

Trilogy Funds head of marketing, Paula Lammey said the business was pleased to reappoint MediaCom for the new contract. “With support from the MediaCom team, we’re looking forward to delivering strong results for the business from our paid media activity” she said.

MediaCom AUNZ CEO, Yaron Farizon, added: “Winning new business is fantastic but retaining a client is extra special. I’m looking forward to continuing and broadening our successful partnership with Trilogy Funds.”
