Triple M says ‘Welcome back’ to NRL

The Triple M team is welcoming the return of the NRL, beginning with next Thursday’s match up between the Brisbane Broncos and Parramatta Eels.

The announcement:

Some of the biggest names in rugby league emerge from their slumber as the 2020 NRL season restarts on Thursday 28 May.

Kicking off with Brisbane v Parramatta from Suncorp Stadium – Triple M Footy is the number 1 call* bringing more than 100 NRL games between now and the ever so ‘traditional’ last Sunday in October for the 2020 Grand Final.

Spearheaded by Mark Geyer and Triple M Footy’s who’s who of rugby league – Wendell Sailor, Ryan Girdler, Gorden Tallis and Peter Sterling, hear the action called by Dan Ginnane, Anthony Maroon and Ben Dobbin and get the NRL’s breaking news with Paul Kent, James Hooper, Emma Lawrence and Tony Squires.

Triple M Head of Sports Content, Ewan Giles, said: “If they say a week is a long time in footy, the last two months has felt like an eternity! Whilst there will be no fans in the crowd – the entire Triple M Footy call team can’t wait to bring our listeners closer than ever to the action!”
