Truce Films makes Jim Wright a partner

Film company Truce films has introduced a new partner in the person of long time collaborator Jim Wright.

The release:

After a successful two years, Truce Films has made the move to secure Jim Wright’s services long-term by making the producer a partner in the business.

It’s a no-brainer for Truce with Wright becoming an integral part of the business and establishing key relationships with agencies such as M&C Saatchi, Girl Creative, Havas Worldwide, BWM and Sputnik.

And for Wright too it seems like a perfect fit, “There is an incredible amount of talent assembled at Truce, and with a solid stable of ongoing clients, we are well placed to take the company to the next level this year.”

In a busy 12-months, Wright produced Goodnight Sweetheart, a short film funded under Screen Australia’s Hot Shots program. Directed by Bec Peniston-Bird, the project will soon be able to announce some key festival invitations and selections. But for now, it’s back to business.

“We’re extremely excited about what this year will bring and have a strong slate of projects on the go. We want to make 2015 the year of Truce!” says Wright.

Founding partner Michael Ciccone says he feels the timing was right. “It’s something that has been on the cards for a while, but we wanted to start the new year by making it official. Jim has been a quality contributor to our business. We have set ourselves some lofty expectations of what we hope to achieve this year and Jim will play a big part in us getting there”.
