TV ratings numbers to become available again on Wednesday, 29 July
The industry will have TV ratings data again from Wednesday next week, measurement body OzTAM has said.
The ratings have been unavailable since Wednesday with Nielsen, which collects the data, being the victim of a ransomware attack.
Both Nielsen and OzTAM stressed that households are still collecting their viewing data, and that referencing sites have not been impacted.
On Friday afternoon, OzTAM announced the data should resume normal dissemination by Wednesday, but the group is working towards having the data available and released even sooner.
“Nielsen’s top priorities are to ensure that the environment is safe and to restore and release the overnight ratings. This will be followed closely by releasing data for missing dates,” the announcement said.
