TV Wrap: ABC narrowly edges Seven in Sunday network share, but Nine wins the night and the week

Married at First Sight on Nine refreshed its record number this season again on Sunday, airing to 961,000 metro viewers and was top metro program.

It also topped all three key advertising demos on Sunday night. The show was followed by ABC’s Vera in entertainment with 643,000 metro viewers, and the network’s Death in Paradise with 569,000 metro viewers.

Ten’s Australian Survivor and Seven’s Australian Idol both pushed into their record number last Sunday but didn’t manage to break them. The Survivor brought in 488,000 metro viewers while Idol pulled in 441,000.

The #1 news program on Sunday was Seven News with 787,000 metro viewers, followed by Nine News with 661,000.

Nine network topped the overall share with 32.5% on Sunday. However, ABC had the upper hand over Seven and claimed second place with a 21.7% share, while Seven had 21.6%. Ten had a 17.2% share.

The top-rated primary channel was Nine with a 25.8% share, but the top-rated channel was 10 Bold with 3.2%.

For the first survey week of 2023 ended 18 February, Nine was the overall network winner with 31.1%, followed by Seven with 26.5%, ABC with 18.1% and Ten with 15.9%.

In the latest Daily Consolidated 7 Total TV Report for 12 February, Married at First Sight on Nine last Sunday was the #1 program nationally with 1.917 million Total TV viewers, including 603,000 on BVOD and the biggest uplift of 57%.
