TV Wrap: Death in Paradise wins Sunday entertainment as 7Bravo launches

Seven’s new linear channel in partnership with NBCUniversal 7Bravo launched to a 0.9% metro share on Sunday, as the network celebrated an overall share win overnight and the week ending 14 January.

A repeat of Death in Paradise on ABC topped entertainment programming on Sunday with 530,000 metro viewers, followed by a repeat of Vera on the network, with 508,000 metro viewers.

Seven’s Big Bash League game between Sydney Sixers and Perth drew in 356,000 metro viewers, while Ten’s new format The Bachelors came in next with 252,000 viewers.

Nine’s documentary of tennis player John McEnroe aired to 247,000 metro viewers and was followed by the network’s Territory Cops with 228,000.

On Sunday night, it was Seven News that won overall TV viewing with 827,000 metro viewers, followed by Nine News with 640,000 metro viewers. ABC News brought in a 589,000 metro audience. Seven News on Sunday also topped all three key advertising demographics.

As mentioned, Seven celebrated an overall network share win with 29.6% on Sunday night, followed by Nine with 25.9%, ABC with 22.6% and Ten with 14.1%.

The top primary channel on Sunday was Seven with a 20.8% share, but the top multichannel was 9GO with 5.1%.

The network share winner last week was Seven with 29.4%, followed by Nine with 27.6%, ABC with 17.7% and Ten with 15.7%.

Seven also had the most primary channel share for the week with 20.1%, followed by Nine with 16.8%.
