TV Wrap: Farmer Wants A Wife outplays Lego Masters at launch; Nine wins the first Easter week

Seven’s reality show Farmer Wants A Wife had the upper hand over Nine’s Lego Masters at launch on Easter Monday. However, Nine won the previous week.

Farmer Wants A Wife topped Monday’s entertainment programming with 630,000 metro viewers, a slight uptick from 576,000 metro viewers last year. The program had some crossover with Nine’s The Block in 2022.

Meanwhile, Lego Masters premiered to 502,000 metro viewers on Nine, following its 2022 launch figure of 672,000 metro viewers. 

Ten’s I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! attracted 457,000 metro viewers, followed by The Claremont Murders on Seven with 442,000.

However, the #1 program on Monday was Seven News with 1.104 million metro viewers, followed by Seven News at 6:30 with 1.101 million. The latter slot also topped all three key advertising demos.

As mentioned, Nine won the week ended 8 April with a 29.9% share, concluding the first week of Easter ratings. It is followed by Seven with a 26.8% share, Ten with 17.5% and ABC with 17.1%.

Nine was the top-rated primary channel of the week with 22.7% share, but the top-rated multichannel was 7Two with 3.1%.

On Monday, Seven network won the night with a 33.9% share, followed by Nine with 26.6%, Ten with 18.4% and ABC with 13.9%.

In the latest Daily Consolidated 7 Total TV Report for 3 April, Married At First Sight’s finale on Nine last Monday was the #1 program nationally with 2.124 million Total TV viewers, including 592,000 on BVOD and an uplift of 50%.

However, the program with the biggest uplift of 198% was I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! on Ten with 322,000 Total TV audience and 211,000 on national BVOD.
