University of Southern Queensland awards creative account to Emotive
Emotive has won the creative account for the University of Southern Queensland (USQ), with the independent agency set to lead USQ’s brand strategy and campaign work.
Sydney-based marketing agency Blaze Advertising previously held USQ’s account in a full-service capacity. Brisbane-based agency Brother & Co has also worked on campaigns with the university in recent years.
USQ executive director of marketing, media and communications, Kirsten MacGregor, said: “We are incredibly excited about this new partnership.
“The University of Southern Queensland delivers excellent outcomes for our students and we are looking forward to working with the brilliant creative team at Emotive to tell our story in an impactful way.”
Emotive CEO, Simon Joyce, added: “We have loved getting to know the incredibly smart and ambitious team at The University of Southern Queensland through the pitch process.
“Their pioneering blended learning approach offers the kind of experience and outcomes today’s students are looking for and the fact that USQ is No.1 in Australia for graduate starting salary is testament to this.
“We’re really looking forward to pushing the boundaries creatively to help them grow the brand and the university in what is a massively competitive environment.”
Emotive’s growing client base includes Optus, Audible, Unilever, Google, Mount Franklin and YoPRO. In 2020, Emotive added ARN, Pernod Ricard, and Modibodi, as well as Galderma Australia which owns brands including Cetaphil, Benzac, and Loceryl.
Earlier this year, Emotive brought on board former Clemenger BBDO design lead Dan Mortensen as its new head of design, while Gemma Atkinson joined as senior producer in May.
