Victorian Government opens tender for Deadly Questions follow up

The Victorian Government’s Department of Premier and Cabinet has issued a tender for advertising services ahead of the launch of the Deadly & Proud campaign.

The tender seeks an agency to provide design, production, implementation and management of an activation that can be transported or installed at multiple sites across Victoria. Campaign videos, website production, still imagery, digital and out-of-home will all be produced by Clemenger BBDO.

Deadly & Proud is the third phase of the Treaty Communications Strategy, devised by the state government to communicate with Victorians the key milestones being met on the path to a treaty with the Indigenous people of the state.

The campaign will follow ‘Deadly Questions’, an initiative that encouraged Australians to ask any question to a member of the Aboriginal community. Questions submitted on a bespoke website were answered in video, digital out-of-home and voice activation.

Deadly Questions was the result of a phase one and two of the strategy being executed, building connections and persuasive communications on treaty for all Victorians.

Phase three will aim to “increase awareness and support of Victoria’s treaty process among all Victorians by engendering a sense of pride in Aboriginal Victorian cultures and Victoria’s path towards treaty”. The creative will feature Aboriginal storytellers and well-known Victorians sharing stories of pride in their communities and culture.

The tender will close on 18 January. Submissions can be entered here.
