Victorian racing clubs merge, Hook Creative Studio unveils new club branding

Recently launched Hook Creative Studio, led by former Magnum Opus Partners’ Pat Langton and brother Matt Langton, has created the branding for a new horse racing club, Southside Racing.

Southside Racing – the merger of Cranbourne Turf Club and Pakenham Racing Club – is aiming to redefine the racing landscape in south-east Victoria by enhancing the overall experiences, attracting new enthusiasts and contributing to total industry growth.

“This marks a pivotal moment for horse racing, amplifying capabilities, elevating the overall experience, and contributing to industry growth,” said Neil Bainbridge, CEO of Cranbourne Turf Club and Pakenham Racing Club.

“Southside Racing is a commitment to excellence, community, and the future of racing.”

The new branding’s visuals seamlessly blend the racecourses of both clubs, fostering a cohesive identity for members and the broader community.

Hook was tasked with the strategy and branding, and will roll out it over the coming months.

Hook’s Pat Langton, chief creative guy, said: “The new Southside Racing Club will celebrate the synergy between Cranbourne Turf Club and Pakenham Racing Club, forging a bold new path with a visual identity that pays homage to their individual legacies.”
