P&G promotes sales director Vivek Gupta to lead Australian operations

Procter & Gamble has promoted sales director Vivek Gupta to lead the Australian business, replacing incumbent Antoine Brun who will be returning to Europe to lead P&G’s South-East Europe business unit.

Gupta joined P&G’s Melbourne office in 2007 from the company’s Mumbai branch. His first role in the Australian operation was as an associate director on the consumer goods giant’s Westfarmers account.

The three P&G ANZ customer sales directors who currently report to Gupta will continue to do so in his new role.

In a media statement, Gupta said: “We aim to be the innovation leaders of our industry, and feel it’s our responsibility to market the most superior products that improve consumers’ lives, and to work with our retailer partners to create total category growth.

“At P&G we have a team of highly dedicated, expert leaders with a strong momentum of results. I am honoured to be leading this team and look forward to contributing to even greater future success.”

Gupta will assume the role of managing director and vice president for Australia & New Zealand on 1 April 2018.
