VW spruiks its new Passat as ‘The Thinking Car’

Volkswagen has continued a marketing push with a new ad for its Passat in which it describes all of the smart technology it uses – positioning itself as the ‘thinking car’.

The brand is currently at the centre of a scandal after admitting millions of cars across the world were sold with software which detected when the cars were undergoing an emissions test and made them run more cleanly.

An investigation is ongoing in Australia at the moment into the scandal, while glpbally the brand is expected to be told to fork out billions of dollars to customers who claim they were mis-sold their cars.

In the new ad the brand looks to push a whole host of features including its automatic parking, phone synching and collision detection systems.
