WA Community Newspapers to launch Snap Perth day

West Australia’s Community Newspaper Group will launch Snap Day tomorrow, November 22,  the culmination of the chain’s #SnapPerth campaign and a day dedicated to showcasing Perth’s attractions.

The announcement;

Show us what you love about Perth – and make it #snappy!

Are you in a serious, long-term relationship with our city? Then do what most loved-up couples do –show it off on social media!

Wednesday November 22 is Snap Day, a day dedicated to showcasing everything there is to love about Perth, and Community News wants you to take part.

You can get involved by SNAPPING, HASHTAGGING and SHARING as many pics as you can on social media using the hashtag #SnapPerth. We want to see north, south, east and west represented, it’s not just about Perth city!

Take a snap on your morning walk, on your way to work, on your coffee break, in the office, at lunch, on the way home – any opportunity you can find – we want to capture whatever your day brings!

Community News’ Marketing Manager Kathy Ociepa said the #snapperth campaign, which is in its second year, is a great opportunity to showcase what makes Perth such a fantastic place to live.

“Perth really is a great place to live – just ask Lonely Plant who last week named Maylands as one of the coolest places to live in Australia,” Ms Ociepa said.

“Over the past few weeks the people of Perth have been taking part in #snapperth by sharing images along some easy-to-shoot themes, including memory lane, local characters and my family, my home.”

Images shared across social media on Snap Day will feature on Community News’ website, social media channels and across our 17 mastheads (newspapers).

So, get your cameras ready. It’s time to snap, hashtag and share the amazing things that make where we live special. And make it #snappy!

Thanks to our national partners Canon Australia and Harvey Norman and our state partner REIWA.
