WE Buchan announces appointments of Remy Le Fevre and Jye Smith

WE Buchan has announced two new senior hires, including the appointment of Remy Le Fevre to the dual role of head of consumer and creative director.

Le Fevre joins from Ogilvy Sydney where he spent just over a year as its director of marketing communications. He has also spent time as Ogilvy & Mather Group in London as its creative director.

Also joining WE Buchan is Jye Smith as director of strategy.

Smith has previously held roles across marketing, PR and creative strategy at businesses including Weber Shandwick and PwC. Most recently, he was a strategic planning consultant at Redengine.

Smith said of the agency: “WE have fully embraced the potential of PR across strategy, brand and creative domains and has already proven themselves with new and existing clients beyond their competitors.”

WE Buchan’s chief executive officer, Gemma Hudson, said in a statement: “We’ve built two fantastic practices in consumer and strategy with excellent teams in place. These appointments are an opportunity to take our offering in these sectors to the next level, and we are excited at the growing opportunities to work on some of the most exciting brands in the world.”

Recently, WE Buchan promoted Nichole Provatas to group head of digital, creative and strategy and Kyahn Williamson to group head of investor and corporate communication.

The agency has also promoted Libby Woolnough to acting head of corporate, Cristina Fletcher to director of technology and Fred Hadfield to design director.
