‘We just really want to make this a reality’: Bunnings working with major Aussie acts to host rave
Lowest prices really are just the beginning at Bunnings.
As noted by the Daily Telegraph this week, the hardware and garden centre chain is in talks with some of Australia’s biggest dance acts to host a rave at one of its warehouses.
19-year-old music producer Kaila first sparked the conversation in April via a petition on TikTok with an accompanying remix of the famous Bunnings jingle and advocated for Peking Duk and What So Not to headline the proposed event, which quickly picked up steam and got the tick of approval from both acts.

“Holy dooley, we are really hoping the Bunnings rave happens,” Peking Duk’s Reuben Styles told Mumbrella.
“There has been such a crazy response online. Our video that we posted petitioning for the rave got over 2 million views and we just really want to make this a reality.”
While the move may have been fun online banter, it seems that the event could soon become a reality with Bunnings, which regularly features at the top end of YouGov’s best brand rankings, telling Mumbrella that discussions are underway.

“We have loved seeing all Aussie music lovers across the country share their excitement and enthusiasm for a Bunnings rave on social. Kaila’s remix of our jingle is awesome, and we’ve had some very positive chats with Peking Duk and What So Not on how we can come together to support and celebrate young local music acts,” the company said in a statement.
“We are working through the details and look forward to sharing more soon.”
