WhiteGrey appoints Juan Garcia as head of technology

WPP owned technology and creative agency, WhiteGrey has appointed Juan Garcia as Head of Technology.

Garcia was previously head of technology at digital communications and innovation consultancy group Deepend and, prior to that, technical director at Ogilvy Australia.

Speaking about his new role, Garcia said: “I’m delighted to be joining WhiteGrey as the role combines my love of both creative tech & digital transformations. My key responsibility is to marry technology with creative ideas and deliver premium digital solutions to a highly engaged audience for our clients and key partners. I can’t wait to get started.”

Garcia will replace Matthew Sayer who has been head of technology at WhiteGrey and the White Agency since July 2015.

Lee Simpson, CEO WhiteGrey, added: “Having someone of Juan’s calibre join our senior management team is a significant move to reinforce the tech capabilities of the agency,” said Simpson.

“As Head of Technology Juan will play a crucial role to drive the agency’s tech capabilities and he brings global experience and skills across large platform builds as well as a great mind for creative technology to the team. We are delighted he is joining us to shape and drive digital solutions at a time when the agency is being recognised for this work at award shows like Cannes and Effies.”
