World’s best PR thinking to be shared at CommsCon conference

James Wright Red AgencyOne of Australia’s most experienced participants on international public relations awards juries will share his take on the world’s best PR thinking in a session at next month’s CommsCon conference.

James Wright, MD for The Red Agency Australia and Havas PR Asia-Pacific, was last year a judge at The Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, the CLIO Awards for creativity in the US and the European Cristal Festival. He also co-chaired the development of the Melbourne Mandate for the World PR Forum which was held in Australia in November 2012 and focused on the future role and vision for the PR industry.

CommsCon_social-media_HorizontalCommsCon – aimed at public relations and communications professionals – takes place in Sydney on March 20. The event is organised by Mumbrella’s parent company Focal Attractions.

During his presentation, Wright will discuss his take on the world’s best PR thinking including the best ideas, initiatives and practices.

In 2008 Wright was named  the Public Relations Consultancy Association consultant of the year and was also named International CSR Leader by PR News (USA) at their annual All Stars Awards.

Prior to joining Red Agency James was a managing director at international PR consultancy Grayling where he led  accounts including Coca-Cola, HSBC, Jaguar Land Rover and Sony.

He currently works with brands including Accor Hotels, New South Wales Government, Medibank, Origin Energy, Reckitt Benckiser, WWF Australia and Yahoo!7.

The draft program of CommsCon has now been published, with the keynote guest Joe Jareck, public relations director of Major League Baseball team the Los Angeles Dodgers. Discounted earlybird tickets are available until the end of the month.

The program for CommsCon is being curated by Mumbrella’s Tim Burrowes.

Meanwhile, the closing date for entry into the CommsCon Awards is this Friday.
